Io sono un fotografo. Cosa significa? Significa che faccio le fotografie fatte bene. No, è troppo riduttivo dire che faccio le fotografie fatte bene. Essere fotografi non è solo questo. E’ uno stile di vita. Faccio fotografie da sempre, ma è “solo da otto anni” che ho la fortuna di collaborare con il Fotografo (si, con la F maiuscola) Mauro Parravicini, con il quale abbiamo creato 12Area Photostudio. Credo di avere imparato moltissimo da lui, e ancora di cose ne ho da imparare, ma ho ben capito che fare il fotografo non è solo fare le fotografie, ma è curare la fotografia in ogni sua più piccola parte: pensarla, immaginarla, previsualizzarla, crearla, farla, sistemarla e poi stamparla. E’ un processo enorme rapportato ad ogni singola foto, ma Noi (si, con la N maiuscola) lo facciamo, perchè questo vuol dire essere Fotografi.

I am a photographer. What does it mean? It means that I do the photographs done well. No, it's too simplistic to say that I made the photographs well. Being photographers is not just this. It 'a way of life. I take photographs all along, but it is "only eight years" I have the good fortune to work with the Photographer (yes, with a capital P) Mauro Parravicini, with whom we have created 12Area Photostudio. I think I have learned a lot from him, and still things I have to learn, but I understand that being a photographer is not only take pictures, but treat the photograph in all its smallest part, think, imagine, previsualizing, create it, make it, fix it and then print it. It 'a process huge compared to every single picture, but We (yes, with a capital W) do it, because this means being Photographers.
